My name is Steve Miller, and on the old interwebs, I’m known as the QiRanger — that’s pronounced CHEE-Ranger. It’s a combination of my passion for high energy (Qi or often seen Chi) and my love of the US National Parks.
Over the years, I’ve done a lot… I’ve worked in education in both the United States and in South Korea. I’ve cleaned toilets and anchored international news programs. I’ve spoken at conferences and answered questions directed at my by government officials. So when there’s a chance that somewhere along my career, I’ve done it… and had a great time doing it as well.
I first launched this blog in 2008 and kept it active until 2016. However, after many years of traveling and then returning to the United States in 2016, it fell by the wayside. So now, I’m pushing reset and launching it again. The new site will slowly incorporate some of my older pieces, but also serve as a central location for my professional pieces in media.
It will also be a place where I can share some of my personal travels and my love of pizza, coffee, whiskey, beer, and good times.
If you’re looking for a shorter description of me… try this one on:
TV, radio, internet Asia news and travel journalist.
I hope you’ll stick around and connect with me. The best way to do that is by reaching out either on Twitter or Facebook. I love connecting with people and hope to do so with you.
So until we meet, chat, and connect — Be true to yourself, and always be awesome.
